Street artist Mobstr new work at former site of GBP 750,000 Banksy artwork
A provocative graffiti work has appeared at the site where Banksy's 'Slave Labour' piece was controversially removed in July 2013. The Bristol-born artist's cheeky comment on the Queen's golden jubilee was sold at auction in London last Summer for over GBP 750,000.
The new mural, called 'DARLING LOOK', by street artist Mobstr features an outline of the place from which the earlier work was removed and spells out a conversation which reads: "Darling look, it's a Banksy!" "Don't be silly my dear, that's just some vandalism." "Oh right. Yes, of course."
Describing it as a "direct homage to Banksy", a spokesperson says it "aims to return to the community a work which will once again provide a source of amusement and a point of conversation."
Mobstr's show Sex Drugs and Painting Walls Canvases runs 15-20 May at the Old Truman Brewery in London's East End.

Zac Chapman was lucky enough to got out of his car unhurt and unaided, but Russian Andrei Bgatov had to be extracted by the rescue teams and medical staff, before he was airlifted to hospital and held in for observation for concussion.The two cars came together under breaking at the famous fist corner at Brands Hatch, Paddock Hill bend, before heading off the circuit, where Andrei Bgatovs car (No.55) cleared the catch fencing and landed in the spectator area. No spectators where hurt.
