Belgian enclaves inside Dutch town of Baarle-Nassau
Cyclists pass over a marked border between the Netherlands (L) and Belgium (R) near street signs pointing to nearby Dutch and Belgian towns in Baarle-Nassau, Netherlands, on 22.04.2025. French auto maker Renault is to build an all new electric-powered version of a classic Eighties hot hatch.
The new Renault 5 Turbo 3E will go intro production as a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 of the 1980s.
It combines retro styling that harks back to the original with modern technology.
It features motorsport-inspired livery, a lightweight carbon structure and a rear-wheel drive layout.
It will be powered by two electric motors located in the rear wheels delivering nearly 500 hp and a 0-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds.
The car’s design incorporates a charging port integrated into the rear air intake, while keeping stylistic accents from its Turbo predecessors.
The new car is set to launch in 2025, with details on price and availability yet to be announced.
The original Renault 5 Turbo was launched in January 1980.
The car was primarily designed for rallying, but was also sold in a street version.
A total of 4,987 , made up for Mark 1 and Mark 2 versions, were manufactured during the six-year production run.

EXKLUSIV - Mena Suvari und ihr Ehemann Michael Hope shoppen in LA
EXCLUSIVE. Coleman-Rayner
Los Angeles, CA, USA. March 18, 2020
American Pie star Mena Suvari and her husband Michael Hope were seen flouting social distancing advice amid the coronavirus outbreak — opting to go grocery shopping and eat takeout on a public bench. The 41-year-old looked a little disheveled with no makeup and unruly pink dip-dyed hair. She was dressed down in tight black yoga pants, a black jacket and cap with trainers. Mena was spotted at Trader Joe’s in West Hollywood on Wednesday where the pair spent 30 minutes buying groceries before getting a bite to eat from Veggie Grill. She also shocked onlookers by allowing a woman to take a close look at her food as she commented on where she bought it from.
