Light to moderate rain has been occurring across various parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, due to the combined effect of western winds and Cyclone 'Montha' formed over the Bay of Bengal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The active western disturbance and a low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea have also contributed to the widespread weather impact.
