Baby rabbit reacts after realising it has eaten thistle plant, Suffolk, Britain - Jul 2015

If it looks tasty.. and it smells tasty... then OUCH!

This funny bunny bit off more than it could chew when it tried to nibble at a thistle plant.

Photographer Kevin Sawford snapped the peckish rabbit near Ipswich sizing up the greenery, before taking a bite.

The resulting reactions of the wild rabbit made for this series of hilarious images as it threw its paws in the air, contorted its face in disgust and stuck out its tongue.

Kevin says: "I had been photographing a family of wild rabbits at their warden in the Suffolk countryside over a few days in the summer.

"On this particular evening this youngster started to feed on the thistle plant. At first it seems content with its meal but then realises the mistake it has made when it bites into the prickly plant. Its reaction is priceless.

"The young rabbit soon recovered and was OK but had learnt its lesson on what to feed on."

Photographer Michael Yang pays a visit to Okunoshima, a small island in Japan that is overrun with bunnies, giving it the nickname "Rabbit Island". Here he shares his experience:

"No one really knows where the bunnies came from. Some people say that the bunnies were released after World War II from the poison gas factory located on the island. Others say that school children released their bunnies on the island. In any case, they have no natural predators on the island so they have overrun it."

"No one really knows where the bunnies came from. Some people say that the bunnies were released after World War II from the poison gas factory located on the island. Others say that school children released their bunnies on the island. In any case, they have no natural predators on the island so they have overrun it."

Looking for a new ornament for your home? How about a possum with a doll's head?

Perhaps a goldfish with a pheasant for a head and feet from a blackbird might look good on your mantelpiece?

These and other oddities have been created by wacky taxidermist Andrew Lancaster.

Born in North Yorkshire, but now living in New Zealand, Andrew specialises in creating weird animal hybrids.

The 53-year-old started taxidermy 14 years ago, after moving from Britain, but only began creating his fantasy creatures in the last two years.

He explains: "I would see lots of animals by the side of the road and think it was a shame they would be wasted. Now I usually pull over and head back to pick them up. I would never hurt any animals myself"

Pop Life: Art in a Material World at Tate Modern has seen Damien Hirst's identical twins performance from 1992 re-staged for the first time.

Identical twins sit beneath two identical spot paintings dressed exactly the same and take part in the same activity for the duration of the show.

The exhibition examines the ways in which artists have built up 'personae' and brands for themselves since the 1980s. Work by Jeff Koons are also featured.

Marvel superhero star Jeremy Renner has told how he got back on the snowplough that nearly ended his life following his recovery — and noticed it still had bits of his clothing and “other things” in the tracks.
The star , 54, who plays Hawkeye in the film franchise, appeared in theJimmy Fallon talk show to discuss a book about his near fatal snow plough accident.
He was crushed by the machine on New Years Day 2023  at his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
He had previously said the “electric serenity” he felt in the moments he was left clinically dead means he is unafraid of death and filled with a profound sense of peace.
The book is called My Next Breath described as a raw memoir retelling of the incident.
Fallon showed off a photo of the plough called a snowcat, from the book.He said: “I don't know if I understood the actual size of this machine.
    “Look at this thing.
“And then you write in this that you actually got back on it the next winter.”
Renner replied: “Yeah, you know, it's like anything you sort of drive — I go right in the eye of the storm of any fear or anything.
“I didn't want this thing to haunt me or own me by any means.“It was no big deal.
“I know how to drive the thing, it was just interesting getting off of it.
“Cause you have to step on the tracks to get off this thing.
“And I saw, like, little pieces of my clothing in it still and some other things that I don't want to say.
“It was interesting but then I just kind of wink and like, ‘Ha, I made it. You can't beat me.’”
