The girl sitting on her giant dog's head
Realistic Giant Dog Paintings, Seoul, South Korea - 2010s
    FULL BODY: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/qx96

A Korean artist has painted a series of oil paintings featuring a giant dog and a teenage girl.

Jeong Woojae, 32, from Seoul brilliantly illustrates the difficulty children have transitioning to adulthood and how much comfort a pet dog can provide. He explains his frustration with a fast paced environment where "people are living a life for just making money with forgetting about value and purpose which every individual has."

Rosie the fox tries to get Maddy the dog's stone
Out-Foxed: Rosie the Fox Really Wants Doggy Friend Maddy's Rock
It's not often you will see a hound chased by a fox but that doesn't stop this cute cub leaping after her doggy pal.

These hilarious pictures show the incredible bond formed between Maddy the dog and abandoned fox cub Rosie.

Photographer Richard Bowler captured the heart-warming action at his home near Corwen, North Wales.

They show six-month-old Rosie leaping after Maddy in an attempt to deprive the Lakeland Patterdale cross of one of her much-cherished rocks.

But Maddy, 4, often out-foxes her pal, even when Rosie tries a surprise flying jump attack from the bushes.

The two have become friends after Rosie was left abandoned when her dad killed most of her litter.

Richard, 44, gave the fox a home at his picturesque small-holding in the Berwyn mountains.

He explains: "It is not known what happened to Rosie's mother. All we know is that she was the only survivor after her dad went rogue. She had to be hand-reared before she had even opened her eyes.

"We decided to give Rosie a home and she quickly bonded with Maddy after they were gently introduced.

"Maddy has always been a playful pet and it is a natural instinct for a fox cub to play so it is no surprise they share the same instinct for fun.

"Maddy's most favourite thing in the world is to chase after stones; she does have toys but prefers stones for some reason. Rosie, although not interested in chasing after a stone, loves to steal anything she can from Maddy.

"She waits until Maddy has the stone in her mouth then jumps all over her trying to steal it. There's nothing nasty about it, it's just the game they have developed. Often Maddy will turn around and chase her, which Rosie loves.

"Since Rosie has grown we have built a large enc...

One may be feathered and the other furred but Willow and Merlin are the beast of friends. Barn owl Willow loves nothing better than hitching a lift on Lurcher Merlin's back. The unlikely couple are now a familiar sight at the Pen y Bryn Falconry centre in North Wales. The pair became firm friends three months ago when Willow's handler Lowri Peacock began combining the bird's daily exercise with Merlin's walk.

Paw Blimey! Excited Dog Almost Turns Into Snowball
An excited terrier was almost turned into a giant snowball after playing in a huge snow flurry.

Soft-coated wheaten terrier Kenzie couldn't wait to get outside following a blizzard in Redmond, Seattle.

However, when owner Jeff Hall brought her back inside he was stunned to find her fur had become encased in ice balls.

Thankfully, following a warm bath Kenzie was soon back to her normal self and eager to run around outside again.

Jeff's daughter, Jamie, 21, said: "Kenzie has seen snow before, but never more than an inch or two and this was definitely her biggest snowstorm to date.

"She was incredibly excited and had been pawing at the door all afternoon, especially since she heard the neighbourhood kids playing outside.

"As soon as she went outside she rolled around for a while, and in the deeper parts she had to jump up and down.

"We were trying to knock snow out of the trees so they wouldn't break and when we finished we saw her.

"We were shocked and took her to the bath - she seemed to grudgingly accept that it was the only way to get the snow off".

Jamie added: "Kenzie is sweet but maybe a little simple - I think she's learned her lesson."
