On Me Head! Dolphin Models Jellyfish 'Hat'
This energetic dolphin looked like it was wearing a bizarre hat when it emerged from the sea off Scotland with a jellyfish on its head.
The bottlenose dolphin shook off the common jellyfish, which stayed on his head as he came out of the water, and threw it to a friend like a frisbee.
Photographer Chris Wilson, 46, watched the action at Chanonry Point, on the Moray Firth, near Inverness, Scotland.
He said: "At the end of the point there is an area where dolphins regularly congregate to hunt salmon and sea trout.
"On this occasion very few turned up but there were quite a lot of jellyfish in the water being washed past.
"Some of the dolphins were throwing them about but I could not tell if they were eating them or doing it for fun.
"The dolphins were in no way distressed by the jellyfish and several were even mothers with calves."
Chris, from Kingsteignton, Devon, added: "It amused me that a dolphin appeared to be wearing a jellyfish."
