On December 2, 2021, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, the Zhongshan Scenic Area of ‚Ä‚ÄNanjing in the early winter season is full of forests, colorful and picturesque. From the air, the yellowed sycamore leaves on the cemetery road are like a string of Meiling Palace. "Golden Necklace" is so beautiful, ushering in the most beautiful viewing moment of the year.
Viewed from the air through a drone, rows of platanus trees form a collar. The Meiling Palace in Xuanwu District of Nanjing is like a gem inlaid at the end of the necklace, quietly nestling at the foot of the Purple Mountain. There are folk rumors that the Meiling Palace was a "birthday gift" from Chiang Kai-shek to Soong Meiling. Netizens called this "the world's best necklace" as Jiang Gong's romantic confession to his beloved wife. It is understood that the trees forming the "necklace" on the cemetery road were not planted in the same period.
According to records, the earliest construction budget of Meiling Palace was 260,000 silver dollars, but in the end it actually spent 320,000 silver dollars. The money was first advanced by the Army, Navy and Air Force Command, and later the Nanjing Municipal Finance Bureau also contributed part of the advance. The financial pit left by Meiling Palace for the two departments was finally filled by Chiang Kai-shek with the reimbursement of the total reserve fund of the state finance.

Due to disrepair, Meiling Palace started repairs in December 2012 and was completed in September 2013. The rows of fatons are layered on top of each other, and the shape is like a necklace, which is very spectacular. Netizens called it "the most awesome necklace in the world." These necklace-shaped platanus trees were not planted at the same time. The Fatong that forms the "collar" on the cemetery avenue was planted during the construction of the Zhongshan Cemetery from 1925 to 1929, and the Fatong that formed a "pendant" ..

Photographer Captures Intriguing X-rays of Toys
Australian photographer Brendan Fitzpatrick has spent 20 years documenting the skylines of cities around the world.

His latest series called Invisible Light looks at how x-ray technology can be used to reveal the surprisingly beautiful internal structures of simple objects like tulips, crabs, and toy replicas of robots and helicopters.

The project uses chest X-rays and mammogram machines to explore the inner workings of various objects and natural forms.

The 45-year-old has scanned toy robots, a toy gun, flowers and even a hen's eggs revealing their complex interiors.

The Sydney based photographer explains that he was inspired to look at X-rays while researching for a commercial job.

"The art directors wanted an X-ray effect which I assumed would be created using negatives etc. I never thought it worked so I explored the possibility of using real X-rays. I was very lucky to find a radiologist willing to work with me."

The photographer explains that the project is ongoing, and that he hopes to bring more depth and complexity to his interpretation of the subjects in the future.

Brendan believes the X-ray toys and models would make great wall art. He says that the large acrylic prints of the robots will light up a boy's bedroom or geek's cave big time

"The flowers are rather more subtle, often I find people don't realise it's an X-ray image."

Brendan says the X-ray technique allowed him to work with a fairly blasé set of subjects...

From 65,000 feet above Earth, the aquamarine melt ponds in the Arctic stand out beautifully against the White Sea ice and ice sheets.

These ponds form every summer, from snow that built up on the ice melts, creating striking crystal clear pools.

On July 16 and July 17, NASA's ER-2 aircraft flew above Alaskan glaciers and to the North Pole, carrying an instrument called the Multiple Altimeter Beam Experimental Lidar, also known as MABEL.

As the icy weather continues to blast Britain, in Welwyn Garden City the freezing cold wind has helped to create an unusual 'art' installation. Spray from a fountain in the city was blown over the surrounding grass and plants by the strong wind - turning instantly into ice and creating a beautiful 'marbled' effect. Photographer Stuart Atkins, who stumbled across the scene, comments: "As it was so windy and super cold, the water from the fountain was blown all over the grass and surrounding bushes, turning into ice instantly. The grass looked like and felt like it was covered in little marbles".

    Photographer's Lovely Bubbly Psychedelic Shots
The humble bubble is revealed in stunning detail in these extraordinary psychedelic photographs.

Jane Thomas' close-up shots capture the incredible patterns which form in the soapy water before it is blown out through an ordinary bubble wand.

According to the 58-year-old, she was inspired to create the colourful masterpieces while doing the washing up.

She comments: "One day I noticed the flat soapy films across the squares of the grid inside a grill pan.

"I don't think I'd ever noticed their tiny colourful patterns before and it struck me they'd make a good subject.

"I couldn't wait to get the camera out, that's when the mania for bubbles came about".

Jane says her eye for detail has come from years of describing surroundings to her blind husband, Geoffrey.

She said: "It has made me much more observant which, I think, is often how I notice tiny details of things around me which I like to photograph.

"Although Geoffrey can't see my work he is the most supportive person I know. I wouldn't be doing any of this without his help, suggestions and encouragement"

To get the shot Jane uses a variety of soaps - from normal children's bubble mixture to washing up liquid and shampoo.

She says it takes a long time to get the right images and once the solution is applied to the bubble wand she has just 30 seconds to capture the best patterns.

"I use a bright, office angle-poise lamp to illuminate the soap which I always photograph flat in the wand, never as a round bubble.

"I have the camera, with a macro lens, on a tripod and I use a cable release for the shutter.

"A soap film, if it's thick enough, can last in the wand for well over ten minutes but the patterns appear within the first few minutes of that time.

    "They move fairly f...
