Six-month-old silvery gibbon baby with mother Tilu in a tree
Baby silvery gibbon hangs onto mother Tilu, Chester Zoo, Chester, UK - 06 May 2016
Sometimes it's just nice to hang out with mum. This six-month-old silvery gibbon baby is pictured clinging onto mother Tilu in a tree.
Currently unnamed and unsexed, the youngster was born in January as part of Chester Zoo's endangered species breeding programme. Silvery gibbons are endangered in the wild.
The family can be viewed in Chester Zoo?s new Islands habitat which opened last year and is the largest expansion in UK zoo history.
Islands provides a showcase for all of the vital conservation work the zoo carries out in South East Asia and is helping the zoo to significantly increase the amount of money it spends each year on conservation in the wild.

This magical photo series turns the spotlight on bugs' often overlooked beauty.
Butterflies, caterpillars, dragonflies, moths and even a shy ladybird flit around in these mesmerising macro photographs. The stunning detail of dewdrops on a dragonfly and the comedy of a fly riding a butterfly make for a photo series to win over even the most stubborn insect-haters.
