Miss Anne Barry of Bulawayo , Southern Rhodesia , granddaughter of the sixth Earl of Radnor , and Mr . Alastair Gordon , youngest son of Lord Dudley Gordon , Chairman of Hadfields the steel firm , were married at St . Michael's , Chester Square , London .
The bridegroom , 29 , and six feet 2 inches tall , is just back from Kenya where he has been painting landscapes and the natives .
Miss Barry is 25 , works with a Mayfair decorating firm .

Nineteen-year-old Elizabeth Murdoch, wearing Highland dress, applies a touch to the hair with her comb in her dressing room at Alexandra Palace, London, today. She will sing Scottish love songs on the television show-- ' The Teen-Age Show ' --tonight. This will be her first television appearance.
Miss Murdoch worked in her father's florist shop in Annan , Dumfriesshire, and until last March, singing only for family entertainment.Then she came to London to take singing lessons, and tonights appearance on the young people show may launch her in her career.

Scots plaid pantaloons are incorporated in the afternoon dress - latest thing from Molyneux - worn by American film actress Virginia Keiley , seen aboard the Cunard white star liner ' Queen Elizabeth ' at Southampton as she left for home.

General Eisenhower and wife take up residence at Culzean Castle , Maybole , Carrick in October 1946. A flat in the castle has been made available to the former Supreme Allied Commander by the National Trust for Scotland , who were given the Castle by the Marquess of Ailsa , as a gesture of gratitute and admiration from the Scottish people for his services as a war leader. The flat is General Eisenhower's for the rest of his life . 'Ike' also has at his disposal , by courtesy of the Marquess, 2,000 acres of shooting including the famous coverts shot through by King Edward VII.
