Video and pictures showing Lady Victoria Hervey having an argument about not wearing a mask on a red carpet event in Los Angeles. The British socialite was attending Scot Week, a celebration of modern Scottish culture and excellence, in Santa Monica. She was reproached for not wearing a mask when she arrived on the red carpet. The 44-year-old former It-girl has boasted before about never wearing a mask and said she believes the conspiracy theory that the Covid vaccine is a plot by billionaire Bill Gates to depopulate the world. Publicist Christine Peake of PeakPRgroup said: ñIt was unfortunate that this happened, it was a misunderstanding and we worked hard to keep it safe by having a Covid compliance officer on the red carpet.î Publicist Jane Owen added: "We are really excited to be back at work and are doing everything possible to make sure our guests are safe and abiding by the rules.î Actress Eugenia Kuzmina looked on in surprise as she walked the red carpet after recently returning from shooting Guy RitchieÍs movie Five Eyes in Turkey.

One giant leap for Britain as the UK's first official astronaut, Major Tim Peake will travel to the International Space Station.

The six-month mission will see the 41-year-old blasted into space on a Russian Soyuz rocket from Baikonur in Kazakhstan in November 2015.

ESA's Director General, Jean-Jacques Dordain said: "When we recruited the six new ESA astronauts in May 2009, I made a promise to secure flight opportunities for all of them.

"Thanks to the decisions of the Member States at the Ministerial Council last November, we will be able to fulfil our commitment to fly all six newly selected astronauts before the end of 2017."

Major Peake is the only Briton ever to be accepted into the European Astronaut Corps and his mission will make him the first UK national to travel and work in space, under the Union Jack, on a British Government-funded mission.

Prime Minister David Cameron hailed the mission as a 'momentous day for Britain'.

Peake, who served in the British Army for 18 years and is a former helicopter test pilot, said: "It really is a true privilege to be assigned to a long duration mission; it feels like a real high point in a long career in aviation."

The Major said it was too early to say what experiments he would be involved in, but it would include medical research into vaccines, fluids physics and astrobiology.
