Innocent Bystander 16-year-old Girl Identified As Evette Jeffrey Fatally Shot To The Head And Killed In Area Of Home Street And Tinton Avenue
A 16-year-old girl identified as Evette Jeffrey is fatally shot in the head in the Morrisania section of Bronx, New York, United States, on May 12, 2025. On Monday evening at approximately 5:05 PM, police officers respond to Home Street and Tinton Avenue where they find Evette Jeffrey unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responds to the location and transports her to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where she is pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing. Crime scene unit investigators recover shell casings at the scene and photograph the area.
