    August 6, 2024 - Paris, France: American runner Cole Hocker won the gold medal in the men's 1500m, beating the favorites in a shocking final 200 metres to cross the line in a new Olympic record time of 3:27.65.Great Britain's Josh Kerr held on for silver in a personal best time of 3:27.79, the reigning Olympic champion Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen faded over the final meters, finishing in fourth place. Another American, Yared Nuguse, claimed the bronze in 3:27.80. It's the first time in the modern Games that the US has seen two men podium in the 1500m.
