As winter sets in, you might not be the only one living in your home. From the European earwig and the common clothes moth to the daddy long-legs spider, here are the top 10 everyday bugs and insects that are commonly found around the home when the night draws in early and extra blankets are needed on the bed.
Taken by Sony's latest ultra-high resolution A7R II camera combined with a 90mm Macro Lens and filter, photographer Mikael Buck has captured the unseen world of household invertebrates, who live some of the tiniest lives on the planet.
Almost alien-like, the detailed pictures but faces to the names of well-known creepy-crawlies who share our homes.

Adventures of Turbo Bear, Carpathian Mountain - Jul 2015
FULL COPY: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/qwy2
A couple have created a series of uplifting pictures about the adventures of a small toy bear.
E&H Hobby Photography are from the Carpathian Mountains.
The duo carefully crafted things such as miniature camp fires, turbo-bear-sized boats, and a bed made from leaves and beds made from logs and old shoes.
They assemble the photos, with intricate minute details, using twigs, fruit, flowers, to give the appearance Turbo Bear is life size.
In the pictures Turbo Bear can be seen living the 'outdoor life' and camping in the woods, building fires in the forest and foraging for berries to eat.

STORY LINK: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/575x
A British photographer has cheated death after a drag car slid out of control and headed straight at him.
The high-powered machine, capable of 0-60 in under a second, careered off a wall THREE feet in front of Andy Willsheer, but, amazingly, he kept snapping away.
The resulting images show the 3,000hp dragster - or top alcohol funny car - on a terrifying collision course with 62-year-old Andy - with one hair-raising frame featuring a spinning wheel seemingly about to smash his lens.
And pictures taken from the opposite side of the track show just how close the dragster came to crushing plucky Andy.

TOXIC WATERS: Argentina's Rotten River
zReportage.com Issue #989 Story of the Week: Published TUESDAY May 13, 2025: 'TOXIC WATERS: Argentina's Rotten River' by ZUMA Press award winning photo-journalist Igor Wagner: Very few locals call it water. This is Riachuelo de la Matanza in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. The 40-mile river served as the capital's dumping ground for more than 100 years, mid-19th century chroniclers described it as ''rotten'' and has long been considered one of the most polluted rivers in the world. Thousands of businesses, such as tanneries, chemical plants and factories, are situated in the basin, while an estimated 4.5 million people call the area home. Sewers, household waste, old cars and boats, virtually anything fit for a dump went into the river. The result is an environmental and health crisis spanning generations. Residents and campaigners now fear a new ruling on the toxic Matanza-Riachuelo basin will send a message that environmental protection is not a priority.
