Superyacht design firm Lazzarini, who have previously designed a swan-shaped megayacht and a flying superyacht powered by blimps, have unveiled an epic 'gigayacht' that could be the next king of the oceans.
The Sovrano (Italian for ‘sovereign’) measures an incredible 555 feet - up there with the longest existing vessels and when built would be the widest yacht in the world. Its width comes from a platform on either side of the main deck that results in a 108 feet span.
The two platforms can be turned into helipads, swimming pools or extra lounges, depending on the whims of its eventual owner. Each is also fitted with four electric winches that allow a section to be lowered to the water’s edge to allow for a spectacular dining spot.
The five-deck yacht also has a covered atrium on the foredeck that opens to reveal a sunken space that houses a verdant garden and swimming pool that can be enjoyed by guests outdoors in summer, or under cover should bad weather hit. There are also two more pools on the vessel.

Superyacht design firm Lazzarini, who have previously designed a swan-shaped megayacht and a flying superyacht powered by blimps, have unveiled an epic 'gigayacht' that could be the next king of the oceans.
The Sovrano (Italian for ‘sovereign’) measures an incredible 555 feet - up there with the longest existing vessels and when built would be the widest yacht in the world. Its width comes from a platform on either side of the main deck that results in a 108 feet span.
The two platforms can be turned into helipads, swimming pools or extra lounges, depending on the whims of its eventual owner. Each is also fitted with four electric winches that allow a section to be lowered to the water’s edge to allow for a spectacular dining spot.
The five-deck yacht also has a covered atrium on the foredeck that opens to reveal a sunken space that houses a verdant garden and swimming pool that can be enjoyed by guests outdoors in summer, or under cover should bad weather hit. There are also two more pools on the vessel.
Also onboard is a giant garage which can store up to six supercars. These can be unloaded using a lifting platform and two cranes at the stern that can move the vehicles on and off the boat. Superyacht design firm Lazzarini, who have previously designed a swan-shaped megayacht and a flying superyacht powered by blimps, have unveiled an epic 'gigayacht' that could be the next king of the oceans.
The Sovrano (Italian for ‘sovereign’) measures an incredible 555 feet - up there with the longest existing vessels and when built would be the widest yacht in the world. Its width comes from a platform on either side of the main deck that results in a 108 feet span.
The two platforms can be turned into helipads, swimming pools or extra lounges, depending on the whims of its eventual owner. Each is also fitted with four electric winches that allow a section to be lowered to the water’s edge to allow for a spectacular dining spot.
The five-deck yacht also has a covered atrium on the foredeck that opens to reveal a sunken space that houses a verdant garden and swimming pool that can be enjoyed by guests outdoors in summer, or under cover should bad weather hit. There are also two more pools on the vessel.
Also onboard is a giant garage which can store up to six supercars. These can be unloaded using a lifting platform and two cranes at the stern that can move the vehicles on and off the boat. Also onboard, meanwhile is a 14.5 metre ‘Geronimo’ pleasure craft for zipping around coastlines and a submersible allowing for underwater adventures.
The Sovrano can sleep up to 50 guests across 20 private suites and has space for up to 60 crew.
Lazzarini bosses says the steel-hulled brute could be equipped with electric motors or a hybrid propulsion system for an estimated top speed of 18 knots or 31 knots, respectively.
The studio estimates the build will take four years to complete and its interior and amenities can be fully customized upon client’s preferences.

Dutch firm Asquared Naval Design’s Fluyt is named after the country's sailing vessels of the 16th century - but is futuristic in every other sense.
At 360 feet (110 metres) long it features flowing lines and a sharp, pointed bow that together create a tear-drop shape. Asquared are yet to share the interior layout.
The pool, its party-piece, is cleverly incorporated into the upper and lower deck - connecting the two spaces. It also includes a touch-and-go helipad to allow the owner to take to the skies.
The vessel will be a hybrid equipped with more than 1,500 square feet (140 sqare metres) of solar panels that can power the electric motors.
