LEOPARD SPOTTED IN LONDON - Nat Geo 'WILD' unleashed the first ever realistic animatronic leopard, which was spotted roaming the streets of London in the early hours of this morning. The leopard has been created to mark the start of Big Cat Week and raise awareness about serious threats to the habitats of big cats, and their dwindling numbers. Leopards are faced with up to 90% habitat loss, finding themselves roaming urban streets in places like Mumbai. The animatronic has been created by John Nolan Studio, the team behind animatronics for Harry Potter, 'Spy in the Wild' and many more. Big Cat Week airs on Nat Geo 'WILD' from 6-12 March with U.K. premiere episodes each night at 8pm.

Father Waves At Son's School Bus Dressed in Different Costume Every Day
It can be embarrassing when your parents wave you off to school, but when you are a 15-year-old teenager and your dad insists on dressing in a different comical outfit everyday, you have to feel for Rain Price.
His father Dale has adopted 170 wacky costumes to see off the school bus as it passes the family home in American Fork, Utah.
It started when 15-year-old Rain was waved off on the first day of the school year by his normally-dressed pop.
But it all changed the next morning when the teenager was horrified to see his dad wearing a San Diego Chargers helmet.
Since then Rain and his school friends have witnessed a mermaid, a Mariachi, a bride and a scary clown giving them a cheery send-off.
Mr Price even set-up up a toilet outside his front door and sat on it with his pants down and a newspaper.
"It's a way of letting him know that we really care about him, but do something a little different ... It's a father's way of (saying I love you)," Mr Price told KSL.
But his mortified son took some time to get the joke.
Rain, now 16, explains: "When he did it the first day I was in shock. It's my first day of sophomore year.
"You don't want to see your dad dressing up in a wedding dress, waving at you on the bus."
But to his amazement, his classmates supported the wacky daddy and looked forward to seeing what he would come up with next.
"Most of them like it and we roll down our windows and wave. It's fun," he says.
Not that Rain is going to encourage his father. "I'm not going to reward him for this. His reward is seeing my embarrassment," he said.
Mr Price, who refused to wear the same costume twice, admitted it took a big effort to keep up the daily ritual.
Luckily for Rain, the la...

Bear fight turns into a bear hug at the Katmai National Park, Alaska, America - 03 Dec 2010

Bear Fight Ends With A Bear Hug
Two huge bears give each other a hug as they regain their breath after a tiring 50 minute play fight.
The brothers, who weigh a staggering 100 stone each, stood on their hind legs as they wrestled in a bid to improve their strength.
Brave photographer Christopher Dodds, 43, got within 250 yards of the dangerous animals at Katmai National Park in Alaska.
The Coastal Brown Bears, which are thought to be around three years old, are similar to the fearsome grizzly bear - but weigh even more.
Christopher, a professional photographer and safari leader, lived on a boat for a week and travelled ashore for ten hours each day to get his shots.
He said: "Photographing bears requires a good understanding of their behaviour and I recognised this as a fight between two siblings.
"The fight got rougher and rougher and louder and louder until they started to get tired.
"Then they hugged and recovered for a few minutes at a time, so they could start fighting again.
"While they did move slightly towards me, I was not scared and could tell from their behaviour that this was a relatively friendly encounter.
"The sparring lasted about 50 minutes and they never acknowledged my presence.
"They were both digging for, and eating, clams before the fight and went to sleep afterwards - allowing me to move away without incident."
Christopher, from Quebec, Canada, added: "Though struggles between two juvenile bears might seem mortal, it is in fact just playful combat, designed to hone the animals skills.
"In later life, in territorial disputes between two males, real fights can result in serious injury to the combatants or even have a fatal outcome.
"Brown bears also fight to establish hierarchy and rights to prime fishing spots."

On December 2, 2021, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, the Zhongshan Scenic Area of ‚Ä‚ÄNanjing in the early winter season is full of forests, colorful and picturesque. From the air, the yellowed sycamore leaves on the cemetery road are like a string of Meiling Palace. "Golden Necklace" is so beautiful, ushering in the most beautiful viewing moment of the year.
Viewed from the air through a drone, rows of platanus trees form a collar. The Meiling Palace in Xuanwu District of Nanjing is like a gem inlaid at the end of the necklace, quietly nestling at the foot of the Purple Mountain. There are folk rumors that the Meiling Palace was a "birthday gift" from Chiang Kai-shek to Soong Meiling. Netizens called this "the world's best necklace" as Jiang Gong's romantic confession to his beloved wife. It is understood that the trees forming the "necklace" on the cemetery road were not planted in the same period.
According to records, the earliest construction budget of Meiling Palace was 260,000 silver dollars, but in the end it actually spent 320,000 silver dollars. The money was first advanced by the Army, Navy and Air Force Command, and later the Nanjing Municipal Finance Bureau also contributed part of the advance. The financial pit left by Meiling Palace for the two departments was finally filled by Chiang Kai-shek with the reimbursement of the total reserve fund of the state finance.
Due to disrepair, Meiling Palace started repairs in December 2012 and was completed in September 2013. The rows of fatons are layered on top of each other, and the shape is like a necklace, which is very spectacular. Netizens called it "the most awesome necklace in the world." These necklace-shaped platanus trees were not planted at the same time. The Fatong that forms the "collar" on the cemetery avenue was planted during the construction of the Zhongshan Cemetery from 1925 to 1929, and the Fatong that formed a "pendant" ..

; Bristol, UK. Three young people embrace on the last night before lockdown 2.0. People enjoyed the last night of going out and socialising in Bristol city centre before England goes into the second lockdown (lockdown 2.0) after midnight as the Government tries to stop the spread of the covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. From 05 November lockdown restrictions come into force across England with all pubs, bars restaurants and entertainment venues shut as well as all non-essential shops. From 00:01 on Thursday people have been told to stay at home except for work, education, exercise or essential shopping and each person can only meet one other person from outside their household in an outdoors public space. Households must not mix with others indoors, or in private gardens. Since September it has been illegal to meet up socially in groups of more than six people, known as the "Rule of Six", in order to try and contain the spread of the covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
