Royal Wedding Guests of Kate Middleton and Prince William From Kate's Village Neighbourhood Bucklebury, Berkshire, Britain - 04 Mar 2011

Royal Wedding: The Locals With The Hottest Invite In Town
When Prince William and Kate Middleton walk down the aisle they will do so in the presence of a host of VIP guests.
Famous faces and dignitaries from royalty, politics and the world of entertainment will all sit shoulder to shoulder in Westminster Abbey for the nuptials on 29 April.
Alongside them will be a number of lesser known faces - that is unless you grew up in the village of Buckleberry in Berskhire.
In keeping with the idea of a 'people's wedding' a number of residents from Kate's home town have been invited to the grandest event of the year.
As such a butcher, a shopkeeper and his wife, a pub landlord and a postman will all share in Kate and William's big day.
Shopkeeper Chan Shingadia and his wife Hash are one of the lucky number to receive a gold-embossed wedding invitation.
The couple runs Peaches Stores, where Kate is a regular, in the village
Commenting on their invite, Chan said: "I can't express my feelings - complete shock, superb, brilliant".
Despite being delighted by the invite it has thrown up one problem - what to wear.
However, after checking with Kate's dad that it would be ok, Hash is now planning to don a sari on the big day.
Much to his amazement pub landlord John Haley, who runs the Old Boot Inn in Stanford Dingley, will also be attending the ceremony.
The 55-year-old has known the Middleton family for more than 14 years and Kate and William have enjoyed a drink at the pub a number of times over the past year.
While he is enjoying the festivities first hand his pub will be holding a special 'wedding day' party, complete with BBQ, live music and best hat competition.
Other locals invited to the wedding include butcher Martin Fidler, who has run Bladebone Butchers for nearly 30 years.

Meet Carlow the firefighting cat. Well, not quite firefighting, you are more likely to find this rescued male moggie asleep on a pile of crew jackets, or asleep on a fire truck, or under one for that matter.
Four-year-old Carlow lives in a firehouse in Yorkville, Manhattan after being found and adopted by firefighters of Engine 22, Ladder 13.
He was an underfed stray kitten found hiding in a tyre at a mechanic?s shop when they found him.
"The idea was that Carlow could help keep mice out of the firehouse. Ever since he's been here, we don't see many mice at all," comments a fire station spokesperson, who says they are 'Carlow's PR'.
Mostly, found dozing, there is some excitement : a disgruntled Carlow is pictured being given a wash along with the comment: "Throwback nightmare to the time they tried to wash me".

My Little Pony
War On Christmas: Alan Sailer's Exploding Toys
If you are excited about Christmas, look away now.
Serial object destroyer Alan Sailer has turned his twisted attention to exploding much-loved toys.
The high-speed photography fanatic has selected children's favourites and destroyed them with firecrackers.
And thanks to his photographic expertise, the 57-year-old has managed to capture the moment the poor playthings were blown apart.
Unfortunate toys and characters include a Mickey Mouse mug blowing its top, Tweety Pie losing his head, a troll head cracking up and a Rubik's Cube exploding into pieces.
Alan, from Camarillo, California, explains: "The poor defenseless toys are common so I pick them up from garage sales. I try my best to keep the costs under a dollar per shot.
"I will admit that it is fun to mess with toy archetypes. I have to smile when an icon of sweet innocence like My Little Pony crumbles to pieces in rather horrifying way."
To blow up the objects Alan uses a firecracker modified so that it can be fired using an electrical signal. He then has to synchronise the opening of the camera shutter with the explosion. It does not need to be really accurate, but it does need to be better than lighting a fuse.
"The camera is unimportant, it's not a special camera. I use a Nikon D90 for most of my shots. I have also used an old Nikon F3 film camera, a Canon G6, Rebel XT etc. The camera must have a manual focus and manual settings is all.
"The flash is the key, that and the detector/trigger. I use a home built flash based on a model built in the 1950s by Harold Edgerton. The flash is really fast about 1 millionth of a second and it stops the action.
"The detector/trigger is also critical. It detects that the debris from the explosion has arrived and fires the flash at just th...

'Light Fossils' light painting art by Darren Pearson, Los Angeles, America - Sep 2011

'Fly My Pretties'
'Light Fossils': Illuminating Art Project Sees Dinosaurs Roam The Streets
Run for cover, dinosaurs are roaming the streets!
But, thankfully, these creatures were created by talented light artist Darren Pearson.
Dubbed 'light fossils', they were made using long exposure photography around Los Angeles.
Darren sets off his camera by remote control then quickly 'paints' the image in the air in a few minutes using a small light pointed towards the lens.
He explains: "First I visualise what the image should look like and let it serve as a blueprint. Then, scouting for a perfect environment is half the fun; hikes, camping trips, trespassing, etc are all in the name of art.
"A practice sketch helps and I try to take note of spatial markers like rocks, trees, and trash within the frame to help to set points of reference.
"The camera is mounted to a tripod during the shot. With a remote control, the shutter stays open long enough to draw in the dinosaurs. Most photos take between 2 and 5 minutes.
"The glowing lines are etched in by using small lights pointed toward the lens and moved about in space of the frame. Fireworks, light toys and lasers also create different effects and textures."
Graphic artist Darren says he was influenced by Pablo Picasso, who was depicted sketching a bull in light in a LIFE magazine photograph. He thought prehistoric creatures were the perfect theme for his work.
He says: "I feel like dinosaurs are a connection between imagination and reality. We have a general idea of what they looked like and maybe even how they behaved, but there's a lot to be discovered about them and the history of earth itself. There's also an underlying issue of evolution and the precariousness of life.
"I have a love for illustration and love for film, light painting is a way fo...

Who Looks Good Naked? Bare Faced Beauties
Forget taking your clothes off, the true test of a celebrity's beauty is when the make-up comes off!
Not even the most glamorous celeb can spend their lives as though they lived on the red carpet. So when it comes to their downtime most starlets opt for a little bare faced chic. Getting back to basics, out goes the mascara and hairspray and in comes dishevelled hair and shiny faces. Despite the fact make-up hides a multitude of sins, these stripped bare babes are all embracing that au natural look.
