Continuous gale force winds and rough seas are having an effect on Britain's sea birds. Dormant oil slicks on the bottom of the ocean from previous spills are being whipped up stormy weather and high winds are also making it difficult to fly. The RSPCA rescue centre at West Hatch near Taunton in Somerset is treating Razor Bills, Fulmar, and Guillimots for oil contamination. All the birds will stay with the RSPCA to be cleaned up and will be released back into the wild when they are stronger and the bad weather subsides. Meanwhile, the centre is also caring for 'wind blown' puffins who have found themselves unable to cope with 80mph winds and driving rain. They will also be released once the weather improves.

Hungry Shark Loses Lunch ... And A Tooth
This Great White shark lost not only its lunch but also its tooth when it attacked a decoy seal.

The hungry shark leapt out of the water to snatch up what it thought was a tasty Cape fur seal in its massive jaws.

However, it was actually a decoy and the over enthusiastic shark bit down so hard that one of its teeth was sent flying.

The moment was caught on camera by photographer Dan Callister off the coast of Seal Island near Cape Town, South Africa.

A large population of sharks patrol the waters around Seal Island, which is home to around 64,000 Cape Fur seals from April to September.

With such an abundant food supply close by, scores of sharks patrol the seas around the island on the look out for young and inexperienced seal pups.

To reach the open sea to feed the seals must first cross these shark-infested waters - passing through what is known as the 'ring of death'.

The predators then catch their prey in truly spectacular fashion.

Approaching from below, the sharks leap nearly vertically out of the waves to snatch seals swimming close to the surface.

The behaviour means that the area is acknowledged as the best in the world to witness sharks breaching.

    Royal Wedding: Buckingham Palace Preparations
With just a matter of weeks to go preparations for the marriage of Prince William to Catherine Middleton are well underway.

Staff at Buckingham Palace are already getting ready for the reception that will take place after the nuptials on 29 April.

On the big day the Palace's state rooms will play host to an afternoon reception after the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

This will be followed in the evening by a more intimate dinner and dance for 300 friends of the royal couple.

The action will take place in the Palace's west wing with the white drawing room, the music room, the blue drawing room and the state dining room all being utilised.

Meanwhile, the official multi-tiered wedding cake is expected to be on display in the nearby picture gallery.

In order to have the palace looking its best for the events staff are working hard to display it at its finest.

For example, the palace's greatest art will be on display, with masterpieces by the likes of Canaletto, Rembrandt and Rubens.

According to Edward Griffiths, Deputy Master of the Household, palace staff are used to hosting big events and cater to roughly 50,000 guests a year.

He said 60 people will be working at the afternoon reception, doing everything from opening car doors for guests to serving them canapes and drinks.

Meanwhile, guests will also sit down to a feast prepared by the Palace kitchens.

Head chef Mark Flanagan and his 21-strong team will be responsible for catering to the 600 people invited to the afternoon reception.

Details about the food selection and the wine list are being kept a secret but it is said that the food will show off "the best of British produce."

Chris Oakes of Huntsmere said: "We are very excited by the challenges of building a luxurious family home entirely underground.

"We have quite a few bespoke developments under our belt that include elements housed underground, ...

Mezzotint portrait of Anthony Henley Esq by John Smith, 1694, after a portrait by Sir Godfrey Kneller. Three-quarter length, leaning against a wall on his left arm, wearing robes, a wig and ceremonial sword. In sylvan setting, probably to show his ownership of the land. Underneath and pasted onto the mount is a biographical entry on Henley from the DNB, and photocopies of the frontispiece of 'The Single Songs with the Dialogue Found in the New Opera Call'd Brutus of Alba: or, Augusta's Triumph', composed by Mr Daniel Purcell (dedicated to Norton and Henley by the composer); words of 'A Song' by Henley (from Thomas Southern's 'The Maid's Last Prayer', 1693, p42 - Robert Spencer's hand, in ink), and 'A Two Part Song, the Words by Mr Henley' from Orpheus Britannicus 1, 1698 (Henry Purcell).
