The British Army have deployed a Long-Range Reconnaissance Task Group to Mali in support of Operation NEWCOMBE in order to provide specialist assistance to the United Nations mission currently ongoing there.
Members of the Light Dragoons boarded a Royal Air Force A400M at RAF Brize Norton on the 26th November, bound for Gao Airfield, Mali. Once fully established, the Task Group will consist of members of the Light Dragoons, Royal Anglians and support elements from across the British Army.
