A high security storage facility for car owners and collectors to keep their prized vehicles safe has opened — and they are not even allowed inside.
High end classic models and current supercars have price tags running into millions.
Despite that many are stored in insecure, climatically unsuitable places including home garages, old barns and public car parks.
The new facility has been opened near the UK’s Gatwick Airport by start-up Birch aims to change that.
The founders are car collectors who struggled to find suitable accommodation for their valuable assets.
They discovered that world class secure storage can reduce an owner’s insurance premiums by sometimes more than the cost of the storage.
The new facility is designed to hold up to 590 cars at a cost of around €129 euros a week.
It has already become the approved storage provider for a major luxury carmaker.

The world’s fastest quad bike has been created — and it looks like an Italian supercar.

The V12 Super Quad has 1,200-horsepower with a potential top speed of 400 km/h.

It has been developed by London-based quad bike maker Engler that describes it as "a cross between a superbike and a supercar.”

The vehicle has carbon-ceramic disc brakes, an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox with forged magnesium 20-inch wheels.

A carbon fibre body sits on a carbon monocoque with subframes made from titanium and a low alloy steel called Chromoly.

The bike price list has not yet been revealed with deliveries expected next year.

Company founder and CEO Viktor Engler said in 2020, a client presented a challenge to him to create a unique Engler that “only a few of us can possess.”

An Italian maker of multi-million dollar supercars has become the latest luxury auto builder to build branded high ends residences in the Florida city of Miami.

And prices start around the same level as its high end machines.

Modena-based Pagani has teamed up with US developer Riviera Horizons to build an exclusive tower in Miami’s North Bay Village.

The Pagani Residences is being touted as a “boutique luxury residential building.”

The exclusive 28-story tower will have 70 all-corner residences with two to four bedrooms, ranging from 186 to 307 square meters.

Every floor will have only four residences, with each featuring an outdoor terrace of up to 197 square meters.

Each will be entirely customised to the buyer’s specification.

The tower will also have penthouses up to 641 square meters featuring extensive outdoor spaces with private pools and hot tubs.

Amenities for all residents will include a sky lounge, fitness centre, spa and pet spa,

Pagani founder Horacio Pagani said: “Our aspiration is for residence owners to evoke the same exhilaration and excitement that our auto enthusiasts and owners experience every time they get behind the wheel of their Pagani hypercar.”

A stunning highly detailed scale model of Italian supercar maker Ferrari’s most desirable current production  model is on offer to collectors — for an incredible £13,400 GBP / €17.000 euros

The 1:8 scale entirely hand-built Ferrari 296 GT3 is limited to  just 199 pieces.

Each model is the result of more than 3000 hours of  design and development by UK-based high end automobile model making company Amalgam Collection.

The basis of the model is the original computer aided design data shared with Amalgam by Ferrari whose full sized GT3 racer is around €600.000 euros new.

The 57 cm long replica comes with incredible detailing such as the six cylinder engine, which in the real car belts out 830 PS of power.

Every visible detail of the car has been captured and perfectly replicated.
The standard specification Limited Edition represents the 296 GT3 in the launch specification, finished in iconic Ferrari Rosso Imola paint.

The interior includes the Bosch monitor and control console, along with every minute detail, down to the individual stitches in the car's racing harness.

A spokesperson for Amalgam said: “ Exercising all their outstanding skill and artistry, the team set about reworking the CAD before 3D printing and hand-working hundreds of patterns.

“Moulds were made, and every part was cast in prototyping resin, then fettled and fitted, painted and assembled into these impressive artworks.”

A stunning supercar offering 1,350 bhp that pays tribute to a 1960s spy plane has been rolled out.

    It’s a special edition of a $3 million USD 21C hyper-vehicle by USA-based maker Czinger.

Called Blackbird because of the all black paintwork and detailing, the car, which has inline seating, was inspired by a Lockheed reconnaissance jet , the SR-71.

The aircraft was capable of reaching speeds in excess of Mach 3, three times the speed of sound , around 2,700 km/h.

The 21C Blackbird edition of the base car on which it is based, gets an exclusive exterior executed in a single tone dipped in a deep custom jet black paint with integrated exposed carbon surfaces and SR-71 inspired livery.

Power is amplified with a 100bhp increase to 1,350bhp, as standard, along with a custom exhaust that has the iconic shape of the SR-71 afterburners.
