Miniature Yorkshire Terrier Belle held by owner Karenza Cruse
Woman hand raises tiny miniature Yorkshire Terrier dog, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, Britain - 12 Oct 2014
An adorable puppy is causing a storm in a teacup thanks to her miniscule size. 7-week-old miniature Yorkshire Terrier Belle is currently being cared for by owner Karenza Cruse after being rejected by her mother. The tiny terrier is just an eighth of the size she should be - measuring two inches long and barely tipping the scales at 158g. The pocket-sized pooch is the sole survivor of a litter of four and had to be resuscitated soon after she was delivered. It is thanks to the 24/7 care of Karenza - who feeds her using a syringe - that she has managed to avoid the sad fate of her siblings. Amazingly, Belle - who was named after Tinkerbelle the fairy - has already doubled in size since being born. Against all the odds, she is now strong enough to take her first few steps and sample solid food. Belle is also something of a celebrity in her hometown of Great Yarmouth and even has her own Facebook page - Belle's Journey.

Miniature Yorkshire Terrier Belle in a teacup

Splash Down: Visitors Witness Large Chunk Falling From Glacier
Splash down!
These stunning images show a huge chunk of glacier falling into the ocean - right in front of an amazed tour group.
British photographer Paul Goldstein captured the pictures on Weds (24 July) as he led a tour for Exodus Travels.
Wimbledon-based Paul's series of pictures show the moment when the Monaco Glacier in Spitsbergen, Norway cracked - and one of the tour party thrusted their hand in the air in triumph at the exhilarating scene.
But, despite the seemingly close call, the group were perfectly safe as their boats were half a kilometre from the action.
Paul explains: "Despite looking extremely reckless and dangerous, these two Zodiacs were actually almost five hundred metres from the front of the Monaco Glacier safely beyond the recommended distance.
"My inflatable rib was about a mile from the cobalt blue front of the huge glacier and the long lens foreshortens the distance. We have strict guidelines that we adhere to in terms of distance but to first hear the deep artillery crump then see the massive serac weighing thousands of tons crash down was hugely exhilarating. The 24 people in those two boats were buzzing for days.
"Sadly this extraordinary spectacle and images masks the more sinister side of climate change as this particular glacier has retreated almost a mile in only nine years.
"We saw many magnificent polar bears on sea ice during the expedition, but for those people facing off to the ice fall, this was their highlight. Those people who travel here on vast cruise ships that you cannot get off when you want will always miss out on these sort of life-changing experi...

A WORLD OF DIVERSITY AND DIFFERENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA
From vast plains to rolling mountains and golden beaches to barren deserts, South Africa is a vast country of huge diversity.
And its bustling cities are just as varied as its landscapes - from the likes of hustling Johannesburg to the cosmopolitan Cape Town.
The country is renowned for its wines and is the world's largest producer of gold.
In 2010, it will also play host to the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the first time the contest has been held on the African continent.
Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa and is the capital of the Western Cape Province.
It is also the legislative capital of the country, being the location of parliament and other government buildings.
One of these is the old city hall, a large Edwardian building in the city centre that was built in 1905.
It was here, on 11 February, 1990, that Nelson Mandela made his first public speech just hours after being release from prison.
Cape Town is noted for its architectural heritage, with the highest density of Cape Dutch style buildings in the world.
One of its latest constructions is slightly different however - the main stadium that will host matches during the World Cup.
Known as the 'Mother City', the Cape Town metropolitan area covers a vast sprawl; however, the city centre or 'bowl' is relatively small.
It is nestled between Table Bay and the Table Mountain range, which provides a dramatic backdrop to the city.
The flat-topped Table Mountain, along with other famous peaks such as Lion's Head and Apostles Mountain, form part of the Table Mountain National Park.
This area is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top of Table Mountain.
