FEATURE - Eichhörnchen geniesst den Schnee
These adorable red squirrels foraging for hidden snacks look as if they are taking part in a snowball fight.
The wild squirrels which appear to be munching on the snow are, in fact, trying to retrieve concealed treats within.
Professional photographer Geert Weggen carefully constructed this scene in his back garden, luring the squirrels in with nuts and seeds.
The photos were taken at his home in Bispgarden, Sweden, where over many years he has created a bond with the rodents, who come from a nearby forest.
