Elon Musk's Hyperloop, revolutionizing high speed travel
April 19 2012 - Hawthorne, California, United States: Telsa and SpaceX founder Elon Musk stands in front of the SpaceX Dragon capsule at Space Exploration Technologies Corp. SpaceX launched the spacecraft to the International Space Station in the spring of 2013. On August 12, 2013 Musk revealed his next project the "Hyperloop", a transport device that will move passengers from San Francisco to Los Angeles by pneumatic tube at 800 MPH, making the trip in 30 minutes. On August 20, 2013, the Tesla Model S sports sedan was awarded the highest safety rating the National Highway Safety Administration had ever bestowed on a vehicle. Of all vehicles tested, including every major make and model approved for sale in the United States, the Model S set a new record for the lowest likelihood of injury to occupants. The Model S scored a 5.4 on the agency's 5-star scale, getting perfect marks in every category and out-performing the NHTSA's highest standards in others. As an electric car, it has a battery-powered engine up front that is not as big as a conventional engine filled with combustible fuel. That gives it a larger crumple zone to absorb a high-speed, head-on impact. (Brian van der Brug/Los Angeles Times/Polaris) (FOTO:DUKAS/POLARIS)
