The JabberMask is the brainchild of US-based video game designer Tyler Glaiel. It has been created as a way to get around some of the communication barriers thrown up by the coronavirus pandemic. The protective part is a simple cotton mask, which recent studies have shown can work almost as well as surgical masks for blocking droplet transmission. The electronic components can be removed for washing.

The functions are all be controlled without the cyclist removing their hands from the handlebars, thanks to a wireless remote, featuring independent buttons that is easily mounted and removed from the bike.
