'Doodlemum' Immortalises Growing Kids With Sketch Every Day
Most parents write diaries or take photos to record their children growing up but one mum has drawn a picture of her son almost every day of his life.
Angie Stevens began doodling son Gruff shortly after he was born and two years later she has now drawn more than 700 pictures of him and his two older sisters, Millie, 9 and Evie, 4.
The 38-year-old spends between around 20 minutes each evening sketching a new picture of her three children to document their day before posting them on her blog "Doodlemum".
The family's cat Arnie, rescue dog Bonnie, four chickens and Gizmo the cockerel appear in many of the sketches too.
Angie, who lives with husband Myles, 40, in Swansea, Wales comments: "It is a lovely record for the children to look back on and far better than photos as the pictures capture my emotions too".
"It has become a bit of an obsession and I now do a picture every day after the children have gone to bed.
"Most of the sketches are humorous, but sometimes it's a way for me to deal with things happening in our lives, such as when Millie was bullied at school or Gruff moved into his own room.
"In the morning the children come down and can't wait to see the latest picture."
Angie, who has a degree in illustration, has always enjoyed drawing but ended up working for several large companies after graduating from university.
It wasn't until she had her first child, Millie, that she found the time to start drawing again and started designing greetings cards.
But after the birth of her third child Gruff she suffered from post-natal depression and struggled to get motivated again.
"My husband kept buying me sketch books and suddenly it hit me that I could draw the children and start a diary," she said.

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' film set at Freshwater West beach, Pembrokeshire, Wales, Britain - 11 May 2009
After filming scenes in London the Harry Potter cast and crew have moved onto Wales to film on a Pembrokeshire beach. In recent weeks a 'shell cottage' has been built in Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire. As it took shape Potter fans were able to recognise the distinctive cottage as the "lonely and beautiful" place where Harry and his friends seek refuge from the evil Lord Voldemort in the final instalment of JK Rowling's popular novels. Today the film's main stars, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, were all on hand to film scenes on the beach. They were joined by the likes of Helena Bonham-Carter, as Bellatrix Lestrange and Verne Troyer, as Griphook. Due to the scale of 'Deathly Hallows' the story will be split across two separate movies, with both parts being filmed together. The first instalment is due to be released in November 2010, with the second in July 2011.

Each house is handcrafted and can be designed to the client's wishes, to replicate their own home or to suit the dog's breed and size.
Model Rachel Hunter commissioned makers La Petite Maison to build a Mediterranean style house for her two dogs to match her own home in California.
The stucco structure was specially made for rocker Rod Stewart's ex-wife complete with terra cotta floors and wrought iron balconies.
Other styles of doghouses built by the US firm have included country cottages, lavish colonial mansions and an Alpine chalet for the owner of a St Bernard.
The homes can take from a few weeks to a year to build, using bricks, timber, plaster, stone, and tiles.
Some of the doghouses are constructed on-site complete with foundations, while others can be built and delivered to the customer's home.
