HANDBAGS GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT
These designer bags look like they would sit perfectly in the collection of Victoria Beckham or Kate Moss.
But look a little closer and the intricate stitching of the Louis Vuitton trunk is actually fondant and the logo of the Gucci handbag is made from modelling chocolate.
And just like their real life counterparts the incredible cakes come with price tags of thousands of pounds.
They are the work of an American bakery which specialises in creating lifelike creations of people, animals and objects.
Four cake artists spend up to three days painstakingly baking and modelling each delicious design.
The artists use thousands of ounces of cake for each project and work throughout the night to ensure they are still fresh for the big day.
Customers for the Highland Bakery, based in Atlanta, Georgia, include Elton John and Demi Moore.
The most expensive cake cost a whopping GBP 4,200 and was modelled on a Louis Vuitton trunk.
It fed 200 people at a 40th birthday party and before it was cut guests asked why luggage had been left on the table.
The Gucci handbag with the Yorkshire terrier's head poking out was a present for a woman to herself on her 30th birthday.
She knew she was going to receive the real bag for her birthday and asked for the cake to be modelled on it - along with her cherished dog.
Meanwhile, the Birkin handbag was a present from American actor and comedian Steve Harvey to his wife on her birthday after the real bag he ordered was delayed.
At her party his wife screamed with excitement when she saw the cake, believing it to be real.

Terriers, greyhounds, shihtzus, pugs and Chihuahuas were all clothes horses for the evening, but were such well-chosen specimens that the event was almost as much a dog show as a fashion show.
