A new Hot Wheels toy car is about to hit the market - in an homage to the beat-up but reliable car that many drivers start off with.

The US maker partnered with art and media company MSCHF to create a “Not Wheels” vehicle.

The battered four door was inspired by early 1990s Japanese imports in the States.

It has three different wheels — two Real Riders classic tyres, one yellow spare tyre, and a rusted wheel hub,

But maker Mattel who put the vehicle together with its Creations department, says it has “ tons of personality. “

It also has a cracked windscreen and dirty rear window with “WASH ME” written into the dust.

Other features of the model branded as Hot Wheels x MSCHF include parking tickets and a seat belt hanging out of the door

A spokesperson said: “Thoroughly dented, rusted, and amateurishly repaired, our Not Wheels car proudly shows off both how hard it’s been driven and how much it’s been loved. “

The model is available to order worldwide for $30 USD from August 30th from the Mattel Creations website.

'We have a lot of cracks': Swedes seek to save Vasa warship - again
Sweden's most popular tourist attraction, the Vasa warship a 17th-century vessel that foundered minutes after launch, needs another financial rescue.

The vessel, however, now faces a fresh challenge to its survival as its conservators warn it is at risk of collapse if it does not get a new 150m kroner (£11.8m) support structure.

The co-founder of OceanGate learned that debris from the Titan submersible had been discovered by rescue crews during a TV interview.

Guillermo Sohnlein, who founded OceanGate with doomed Titan pilot Stockton Rush in 2009, was speaking on video link to a UK BBC journalist about the search for the missing submersible.

But during the interview he was told that some pieces of debris had been found on the ocean floor in the search for the missing submersible.

As the news was broken to him, He replied: “I’m sorry, some what has been found?”

The journalist apologised and said reaffirmed that all he knew at this stage was that debris had been found.

Even then, although seemingly taken aback he still seemed to think there was hope of the dub being found in one piece bobbing up and down on the ocean surface.
