'Dentist of horror' Jacobus van Nierop jailed, Chateau-Chinon, France - 26 Apr 2016
Dutchman Jacobus van Nierop, 51, dubbed the "dentist of horror," who has been jailed for eight years for mutilating the mouths of more than 100 patients in France. He ripped out healthy teeth and left dozens of patients in the remote French village of Chateau-Chinon with broken jaws, recurrent abscesses and septicaemia. Van Nierop was also banned from practicing dentistry and fined 10,500 euros at a court in Nevers in central France, near the village where he practised.
