'Posh Club' Ritz-inspired tea party for pensioners, London, Britain - 25 Mar 2015
Pensioners are being given the chance to party at a champagne fuelled Ritz style tea party called 'posh Club'. The event has been running for ten weeks at St Paul's Church Hall in Hackney and has been a sell-out success. A mix of high tea, cabaret, song and poetry, Posh Club cater to OAPs of all ages - including two sprightly centenarians. Tickets are GBP 3, which gets you a 'classic' afternoon tea featuring fresh cream scones, and attendees are urged to come dressed in their finery. Alongside the afternoon tea are a series of entertainment acts, ranging from singers and impersonators to dancing and acrobatics. It is the brainchild of Simon Casson, a lifelong Hackney resident who was inspired by his mother after she hankered for a bit old fashioned elegance and entertainment that brought older people together. The Posh Club is lottery funded and Simon is hoping to be able to bring it back later this year.

Artist's interpretation of the submarine could look like once chartered
Travel Firm Offer a 'Mile Low Club' Trip on a Submarine
Since the dawn of passenger aviation, the so-called 'Mile High Club' has been synonymous with rock stars, honeymoon couples and a select number of cheeky flyers.
Now, 62 years since the opportunity to join this exclusive club first became available to the travelling public, a travel company are offering the opportunity to join the Mile Low Club.
Luxury property rental specialists Oliver's Travels are advertising the use of a specially adapted leisure submarine, interior designed and furnished to the individual customer's specification for an undersea encounter.
The price of this watery brief encounter? Prices start from GBP 175,000 per night excluding air travel.
The vessel, nicknamed Lovers Deep, will be staffed by an on-board crew of three; consisting of the Captain, chef and personal butler (who share separate, sound-proof living accommodation at the other end of the craft to ensure guest privacy).
Lovers Deep has the unique capability of being moored at a location chosen by the customer, whether that be a stunning coral reef off the coast of St. Lucia or a sunken battleship in the Red Sea. With private speedboat transfers as standard, the service can also be customised with optional extras including helicopter transfers with a beach landing, free rose petal scattering service or champagne breakfast in bed - all booked through the Oliver's Concierge service.
To complete the luxury experience, a specialist aphrodisiac tasting menu has been developed to ensure that guests are in the mood to make full use of the Lovers Deep facilities, which could also include a two-person shower at the customer's request. Featuring dishes including oysters, caviar and a decadent chocolate fondant with essence of pom...
