Get off my nuts! This prairie dog was trying to eat a meal in peace before an intrusive bird began to harass him and even attempted to steal his food...The rodent nonchalantly ignored his feathered 'friend' and simply carried on chomping his nut. For 20 minutes intrigued visitors at St Louis Zoo watched as the nosy starling relentlessly hassled the helpless black-tailed prairie dog. Cheeky chipmunk goes nuts for a mouthful, Pennsylvania, America - 23 May 2010
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Solent News / Rex Features ( 1200521e )
Greedy Chipmunk is just too cheeky!
This greedy chipmunk bites off more than he can chew as he stuffs his cheeks during a nut feast. The furry critter's eyes were bigger than its mouth as it optimistically crams nuts into his gob. Before long the peanuts start to spill out and the cheeky chipmunk has to scamper off to store the hoard. However, it was not long before he came back to plunder the rest of the feed. Lori Deiter, who snapped these pictures, leaves the nuts out as a treat for several chipmunks that run up to her garden door, in Pennsylvania.
Pictured, the greedy Chipmunk forces in those big nuts!

Business analyst Lori Deiter from Pennsylvania, USA, leaves nuts out as a treat for several chipmunks that run up to her garden door.
The 49 year-old used a camera she received as a present two years ago to capture the moment the chipmunk, which she has since named Chippy, came within five inches of her.
She said: "I can open my glass patio door and they come right up to me and take nuts out of my hand.
"We actually have more than one chipmunk that comes to our back door for nuts, but we call all them Chippy because we can't tell them apart.
"The most nuts the chipmunk ever got into its mouth was three, one in each cheek and one in the front teeth.
"They love peanuts and hazelnuts. They usually fill their cheeks to...

Pitbull mix Valentina enjoying some peanut butter - Valentina's owners were told that she would need to be removed from Lakewood, Ohio (which has breed specific legislation) but thankfully a DNA test confirmed that she was less than 50% pit and was allowed to stay. It was a terrifying experience for her owners who were prepared to move out of the city so they wouldn't have to give Valentina up.

A photographer with a love affair for rescue dogs has taken a humorous set of images featuring them with something they love ... peanut butter! Greg Murray's heartwarming 'for the love of peanut butter' photo series takes a simple concept - photographing dogs determined to lick peanut butter off their noses - and produces hilarious results. Ohio-based Greg, 34, has taken nearly 100 photos of dogs to date for the series and, as a rescue animal advocate, he always tries to photograph as many rescues as possible. As such his latest collection all involves pitbull mixes who are former rescue dogs or who are still waiting to be rehomed. Many of them have endured difficult early lives.

FEATURE - Eichhörnchen badet mit Regenschirm
Pictured: A red squirrel escapes the rain as it holds a miniature blue and white umbrella above its head. Photographer Geert Weggen snapped photos of the woodland rodent as it clutched onto the umbrella and sat in a tiny bathtub.
The squirrel was actually sniffing out peanuts hidden under the umbrella's spokes, but managed to avoid the rain in doing so. Mr Weggen set up the scenes and hid peanuts to attract inquisitive squirrels who often visit his garden, in Bispgarden, Sweden. SEE OUR COPY FOR MORE INFORMATION.
