NEWS: London: 'Empty Lot' Ausstellung von Abraham Cruzvillegas in der Tate Modern
Tate Modern is transformed into LondonÕs biggest garden centre for the Turbine HallÕs latest installation. Mexican artist Abraham Cruzvillegas unveiled the Empty Lot sculpture, which is formed of 240 wooden planters filled with 23 tonnes of soil collected from parks and gardens from Peckham Rye to RegentÕs Park. Lit by lamp-posts constructed by the artist with materials found in skips and on building sites near the South Bank, the horticultural work has plenty of time to bloom as the new Hyundai Commission runs until next April.
Abraham Cruzvillegas is a Mexican conceptual artist. He is best known for his work with found objects, and particularly his ongoing "autoconstrucci—n" project. Pictured at the Tate Modern in London.
