Newly pregnant? Your life will change – but your skincare need not
Skin care during pregnancy. Must credit: Photography: Martina Lang. Styling: Johanne MillsActive skincare products have been subject to misinformation – causing anxiety among pregnant women.
Many products spark fear during this period, but few are off-limits. The main thing is not to start a dramatically different routine.
There is absolutely no good reason to switch from synthetic skincare products to natural in pregnancy

Is sleeping in your makeup really so bad?
There is more to life than skincare. But experts warn that failing to take off the dayÕs makeup may end in tears.
Social media went into one of its thrice-daily meltdowns last month when makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury was quoted as having said women should sleep in makeup for the good of their marriages.

Collagen supplements: do they actually work? Price is no indication of quality – so think before you leap
Collagen supplements: do they actually work?
Price is no indication of quality Ð so think before you leap.
US oral collagen industryÕs value is set to double to $8bn (£5.85bn) by 2027. Collagen Ð simplistically Ð is the protein that makes up around three quarters of the dry weight of human skin, helping it to remain firm, supple and plump. It decreases with age (less steadily in smokers and sun worshippers), accelerating sagging and wrinkling. This lost protein is what hydrolysed collagen supplements (animal derived or vegan) promise to replace.
