This is the dramatic moment a gang of moped thugs armed with a sledgehammer targeted a luxury jewellers in Knightsbridge. The armed gang leapt onto three mopeds following the raid at Boodles jewellers in Basil Street this morning. Smoke from a security alarm poured out into the street as the suspects, said to be armed with a machete as well as the sledgehammer, sped away from the scene shortly after 10.30am. The robbers - six in total on three scooters - carried out the raid and were in and out in under a minute.

World's Most Disgusting Treats At Grisly Cake Shop
It may seem a self-defeating idea, but a new cake-shop aims to turn the stomach of its customers.
The Eat Your Heart Out pop-up cake shop will offer some of the most grisly-looking 'treats' in the world.
Expertly-twisted bakers have created a range of cake-based products featuring realistic wounds, stitches and even chocolate hacked-off body parts filled with rum.
There are also fanciful depictions of the mythical kraken sea monster, including a blood-red mouth of kraken complete with a 100 individual hand-made chocolate teeth.
But perhaps most stomach-churning of all the delicacies is an interactive maggot extraction cupcake, which allows for mango flavoured maggots and puss to be removed with tweezers prior to eating.

The world's biggest pop band, One Direction show off this year's Red Noses. The band has recorded this year's official Red Nose Day single, a cover of Blondie's 1978 smash hit, One Way or Another.

This year's Red Nose Day marks the 25th anniversary and is set to be the biggest yet.
A whole host of celebrities are doing their bit for Comic Relief including Jessie J who will be shaving her head live on TV; Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton will be taking on seven huge challenges in seven different locations around the UK and One Direction has recorded this year's official Red Nose Day single, One Way or Another.
Melanie C, Jack Dee, Chelsee Healey, Phillips Idowu, Greg James and Dara O Briain just couldn't wait to do their bit for Comic Relief and are already in Africa battling their way through the brutal BT Red Nose Day Challenge: Hell and High Water.

Lower 9th ward. Many new house constructions were started, but due to thieving contractors and owners who ran out of money many buildings remain in a state of semi construction. Hurricane Katrina devastated the area smashing almost all residences following the collapse of the levees. Whereas Brad Pitt's 'Make it Right Foundation' has provided a stimulus for rebuilding a limited area of the Lower 9th ward, much remains to be done as the 7th year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaches on August 29th.
