November 19, 2017 - Amsterdam, Netherlands - People attend the Saint Nicholas parade, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on November 19, 2017. With more than a kilometre of floats and boats, Amsterdam hosts the largest Saint Nicholas parade in the world. Sinterklaas sails into town on a Sunday mid-November with 600 Pieten and plenty of pepernoten (small spiced biscuits), welcomed by upwards of 400,000 spectators who line the canals. The white-bearded legend traditionally makes his spectacular entrance into the city by sailing down the Amstel River and following a route through the city past the Nieuwe Amstelbrug, Torontobrug, the Hoge Sluis by the Royal Theatre Carré and the Magere Brug. The waterborne parade ends at the Scheepvaartmuseum (Maritime Museum) where Sint is welcomed by the Mayor of Amsterdam (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)

*full story: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/f8q9* A 17-year-old girl who has eaten little else but chicken nuggets for the past 15 years had to be rushed to hospital after collapsing. Stacey Irvine has lived on a diet of nuggets and the occasional portion of chips since she was a toddler. Claiming to have never tasted fresh fruit or vegetables, the consequences of her chicken nugget addiction became clear recently when she had to be taken to hospital. The teen was forced to seek treatment after collapsing with difficulties breathing. Doctors discovered she was suffering from anaemia and that the veins in her tongue were inflamed. In addition, her body was so deficient in certain vitamins and nutrients that she had to be injected with them. Stacey has now been urged to drastically change her diet before she does herself irreparable harm, but is finding it difficult to combat her addiction.

Teen's 15 Year Chicken Nugget Addiction
A 17-year-old girl who has eaten little else but chicken nuggets for the past 15 years had to be rushed to hospital after collapsing.
She first tried McDonalds nuggets at the age of two when her mother took her to the restaurant as a treat.
She loved them so much that soon they were all she would eat.
Stacey comments: "I just couldn't face even trying other foods. Mum gave up giving me anything else years ago."
Now nuggets make up the vast majority of her diet - with her only occasionally eating something different such as fries, a slice of toast or a packet of crisps.
She comments: "I am starting to realise this is really bad for me.
"McDonald's chicken nuggets are my favourite. I share 20 with my boyfriend with chips.
"But I also like KFC and supermarket brands. My main meal is always chicken nuggets every day."
Stacey's terrified mother Evonne - whose other children all eat normally - is desperate for her daughter to receive specialist help.
In desperation she even once tried starving Stacey in a bid to get her to eat more...

Teen's 15 Year Chicken Nugget Addiction
A 17-year-old girl who has eaten little else but chicken nuggets for the past 15 years had to be rushed to hospital after collapsing.
