Gathering For The Commemoration Of The Nakba And Against The Israeli Onslaught In Gaza
A commemoration of the 1948 'Nakba' (catastrophe) and a gathering against the Israeli onslaught in Gaza, deemed 'genocide' by the CPI and several NGOs such as Amnesty International, HRW, and PHR, takes place in Toulouse, France, on May 15, 2025. In more than 50 towns across France, participants read the names, surnames, and ages of more than 53,000 Gazans killed since October 7, 2023. They also read testimonies from Gaza: 'What we are experiencing now is even worse than the Nakba of 1948,' says Ahmed Hamad, a Palestinian in Gaza City who has been displaced several times. No humanitarian assistance has been delivered to Gaza since March 2, and a global hunger monitor warns that half a million people face starvation in Gaza. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto) -

A humanitarian aid start-up has designed a cardboard bed for disaster zones that can be assembled in just five seconds.
Not only is it lightweight and cost effective but the cardboard can be recycled after use.
Spain-based Humanitaria plans to produce up to 24,000 beds daily and transport them by plane to emergency sites around the world.
The company says just four people can assemble 1,000 beds in 20 minutes, without tools?
The first few hundred units of the bed will be tested during the rescue operations planned by Creu Roja de Catalunya, Catalunya’s Red Cross organisation, for this autumn
A spokesperson for the Valencia based Humanitaria said the beds were 100% sustainable and biodegradable and ensures a humanitarian response in the first 24 hours of an emergency.
