A mum whose little girl endures thoughtless insults like "bed head" because of her gravity
defying hair is making a feature of her daughter's unique appearance by dedicating a
Facebook page to her amazing barnet.
Zoey Freda, five, has uncombable hair syndrome (UHS) - an extremely rare genetic condition,
characterised by frizzy, untameable locks, which grow out from the scalp in multiple
directions and are fragile, slow growing and very difficult to style.
Now cruel comments from adults have prompted her mum, Tiffany Lequieu, 35, of Toney,
Alabama, USA, who works at her school in the virtual learning team, to start a Facebook
account called The Chronicles of Zoey, to raise awareness of UHS, which can be accompanied
by related symptoms including heart trouble.
She said: "I've had people say to me, 'Look at that bed head, don't you take care of your
    daughter?'
"It got me thinking how, as adults, we tend to judge a book by its cover a lot.
"So, the more awareness we can bring to the fact that there is nothing wrong with Zoey, the
better. She is smart, quirky and perfectly healthy and she embraces that. She just looks
    different.
"If we can reach just one person to say, 'Don't judge a book by its cover,' then Zoey can be
proud that she's making a difference."
Oddly, Zoey was born without "a lick of hair on her hea d," according to Tiffany, who said
"peach fuzz" then grew, but fell out when she turned one.
"When it grew back it looked crimped, like one of those dogs with really crazy fur," laughed
    Tiffany.
"It looked like I had taken a crimper from the 80s and crim ped every single hair on her head.

A 5ft 8in security guard who has not seen a hairdresser in 15 years told how

Her amazing 5ft 10in mane is a massive hit on Instagram, where Stefanie

Likening herself to Rapunzel - the fairy-tale princess who escapes from a tower

After three years without having it cut professionally, Stefanie's hair had

    The Naked Rancher.
Skinny dipping in hot springs dotted around the magnificent landscape in Montana, USA,
where he has been helping to run the ranch since 2017, triggered 36-year-old Dick's
desire to ditch formal wear for his birthday suit.
He said: "I love being naked and I love being a naturist.
"Anything which involves a blade I avoid for safety reasons. I will chop wood with an axe,
but that's as far I will go - I don't want to slice anything off!
"I did once wear chaps and a helmet to use the chainsaw for an Instagram pic, but if I'm
    honest I regretted it.
"All my posts tend to be organic and natural, while that one felt like it was mainly for my
    followers."
Dick, who is now ranch manager, says his love of nature was awoken as a child growing
    up in Florida's Everglades.
"I played a lot of sport growing up and was part of the American Indian Scouts - which is
similar to regular Scouts, but a lot more primitive," he said.
"You learn how to survive off the land in a more traditional manner, like the Native
    Americans do.
"It was there that I started to build a connection with nature."
Brainy, too, Dick loved science and, in September 2007 won a place at the University of
    Wyoming to study geology.
He said: "I'd always enjoyed the outdoors and science was my preferred subject at
school, so I wanted a profession that would let me do both."
With the Rocky Mountains just a short drive away from his university campus, for the next

Her amazing 5ft 10in mane is a massive hit on Instagram, where Stefanie

Likening herself to Rapunzel - the fairy-tale princess who escapes from a tower

She said: "My parents never let me grow my hair any longer than my shoulders.
"I suppose it was easier for them to manage, but as soon as I became an adult
I knew I wanted to grow it long, to see how it would look."
After three years without having it cut professionally, Stefanie's hair had
reached her shoulders and she loved the result.
"It was down to my shoulders and it really did make me feel prettier," she
    continued.
"I guess in a way I felt like I was taking back control - it was part of my journey

Washing her hair twice a week, Stefanie says that is the easy part - it is drying
