Here is a steamy first look at a new film adaptation of classic novel Wuthering heights — starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as doomed lovers.
The 1847 tragedy by English writer Emily Brontë tells the story of Catherine Earnshaw, played by Barbie star Robbie and Saltburn actor Elordi as gypsy Heathcliffe.
The gothic novel is about the tempestuous affair between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, an orphan brought to the Earnshaw's home.
Driven by her abandonment of him for social gain, Heathcliff seeks violent revenge against the families who wronged him.
The story is set in the UK’s Yorkshire moors.
The new movie, due in cinemas on Valentine’s Day next year, was directed by 2023 hit film Saltburn’s Emerald Fennell.
The newly released teaser trailer is full of sexy and lustful imagery.
It cuts between scenes of intimacy, charged stares, and moments that highlight the chemistry between Robbie ,35, and Elordi, 28.
It features a shirtless Elordi hauling hay, bread being kneaded, hands and mouths, a bodice being tightened, then cut apart and a fish getting a finger in its mouth.
