NEWS - USA: Trump-Attacke gegen Khizr und Ghazala Khan
July 28, 2016 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States - As his wife, Ghazala Khan looks on, Khizr Khan makes remarks against the anti-Muslim comments expressed by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during the final night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 28, 2016. Kahn's son, Humayun S. M. Khan, is one of 14 American Muslims who have died serving the United States in the ten years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. In the wake of Khan's remarks, Trump belittled the parents of the slain Muslim soldier, saying that the soldier's father had delivered the entire speech because his mother was not "allowed" to speak, inferring that her silence was the result of expected Islam female subservience. Mr. Khan then responded by explaining that his wife found it too painful to talk about her son's death. Trump's comments have drawn criticism from Democrats and Republicans alike, including President Obama. (Paul Hennessy/Polaris)
