    Britain’s Prince William joined with a host of stars including ex-footballer David Beckham, model Heidi Klum and actress Cate Blanchett to announce his environmental awards will be held this year in Brazil.

    The city of Rio de Janeiro will host the event where 15 finalists from around the world will be selected for eco and conservation projects said to be making a difference to the world.

    William, 42, made the announcement with celebrities from around the globe either hooked up on a conference video link or from specially shot messages.

    Irwin then said his was the colour changing chameleon.

    His dad Steve, a TV personality and wildlife educator, died inSeptember 2006, when he was pierced in the chest by a barb from a stingray while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
