NEWS - Riesiger Eisberg in der Antarktis abgebrochen
July 12, 2017 - Weddell Sea, Antarctica - Aerial view of the Larsen C ice shelf taken November 10, 2016 in Antarctica. Larsen C broke off July 12, 2017 creating a giant iceberg twice the size of Luxembourg and changing the shape the Antarctic peninsula as it sets adrift in the Weddell Sea. At 5,800 sq km the new iceberg is half as big as the record-holding iceberg B-15 which split off from the Ross ice shelf in the year 2000, but it is nonetheless believed to be among the 10 largest icebergs ever recorded....Snapshot of the rift in the Larsen C on Nov. 10, 2016 (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)

Tadao Ando, architect of Francois Pinault's new contemporary art museum at the Punta della Dogana
Francois Pinault's contemporary art museum is opened at the Punta Della Dogana, Venice, Italy - 03 Jun 2009
French billionaire Francois Pinault has opened a new modern art gallery in Venice. The Punta della Dogana is housed in a disused customs house that stands at the entrance to Venice's Grand Canal. Two years in the making, and at a cost of 20 million euros, the 17th-century building has been transformed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Pinault, 72, who owns Christie's auction house, won a 30-year lease to the site following a high-profile and bitter battle with the Guggenheim Foundation. The art museum covers nearly 5,000 square metres (over 50,000 square feet) of space and much of the building's 17th-century character has been carefully preserved. Curated by American Alison Gingeras and Francesco Bonami of Italy, the centre's first show "Mapping the Studio" features works by celebrated artists such as Cy Twombly, Cindy Sherman and Jeff Koons.
