Feb. 8, 2016 - Yokohama, Japan - Chinese New Year is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calender. It is also known as the Spring Festival. To celebrate the Spring Festival, Yokohama Chinatown hold Spring Festival event every year and New Year's Eve Countdown starts from Kwan Tai Temple. Yokohama Chinatown's history is about 150 years long and it is the largest Chinatown not only in Japan but also in Asia. Today only a few Chinese people still live in Chinatown, but it has a population of about 3,000 to 4,000. Most of the residents are from Guangzhou(Canton) but many come from other regions (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)
