The first three Expendables films were released in 2010, 2012 and 2014, respectively.
Stallone previously announced that he would be departing the franchise in 2017, although he returned to his part as Ross the following year.
Numerous performers, including Jackie Chan, Hulk Hogan and Dwayne Johnson, were attached to the project over its period of development.
Expend4bles is scheduled to be released on September 22.
