Files : Osama Bin Laden Killed by US Forces
A new video of Al-Qaeda chief Oussama Ben Laden shown on Al-Jazeera Satellite channel a day before September 11 atatcks second anniversary. The tape shows Ben Laden and his top aid Ayman Al-Zawahiri in an undetermined mountain area and had probably been recorded toward the end of April or in early May, according to the TV channel. Al- Qaeda leader and founder Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US forces in Pakistan, President Obama has said. The 'most wanted man' was gunned down in Abbotabad, outside Islamabad in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province in North-west Pakistan. After a brief firefight, US forces took possession of his body. Pakistani and American forces have sealed off the 3-mile-radius area around the spot of Osama's killing and even the residents are not allowed to go out. Bin Laden was accused of being behind number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.
