The first of first of just three Rolls Royce cars given a rear inspired by the hull of a yacht, has been unveiled.Three sets of clients got together to ask the luxury car maker to create the special vehicles for which model-specific parts had to be designed and made. The money-no-object vehicles, known as Boat Tails, were built by the UK firm’s coach-building department which handles special commissions.Three sets of hugely wealthy clients approached Rolls to create the basic cars with each then adding their own customisation to reflect their personal requirements. That was back in 2017 and now, after four years the first convertible car is ready. At nearly 5.8m long, the front profile is centred on a new treatment of Rolls-Royce’s iconic grille and lights.

Luxury car maker Bentley has unveiled a bespoke model in time for Christmas - as a gift for Santa. The famous flying Bentley bonnet mascot has been replaced with the gold figure of a reindeer. The coachwork of the festive Flying Spur V8 is in a red finish with a diamond finish said to represent the snow peaks crossed. The vehicle was created by Bentley’s bespoke Mulliner department. Its mission is to respond to the requirements of the most discerning Bentley customers through unforgettable bespoke cars. The V8 badges have been replaced by a special ‘Reindeer Eight’ badge signifying the power train Father Christmas is more familiar with. Following the lead reindeer, the standard chrome bonnet strip has been re-trimmed in gold, and coordinating hand painted fine line details shimmer from the rear of the Bentley wing badges. To emphasise the speed and performance required to cover the significant distance by Santa, a gold styling specification has been included. This comprises of a carbon diffuser to the front and rear bumper, carbon side sills and a boot lid spoiler – for maximum aerodynamic performance at cruising altitude. There are 22 inch golden wheels with all season tyres fitted.
