In his two-part exhibition, Searchers, Robert Longo presents a pair of monumental five-panel works - revisiting his Combine formats of the 1980s which amalgamate different mediums. The new Combines measure in total 7.5 metres wide and over 2.2 metres in height, occupying an entire wall within each gallery.
Each of the panels is executed in a different medium: a charcoal drawing, a video, a painting, a sculpture and a photograph, exploring the artist's idea of 'making a Combine in every way to see an image.'
Robert Longo: Searchers will be on view at Thaddaeus Ropac gallery from 9 October - 20 November and at Pace from 9 October - 9 November, coinciding with Frieze art fair in London.
