'Miniature world' ring designs, Germany - Sep 2015
FULL COPY: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/r4ht
A designer has created a unique jewellery range that places a 'miniature world' inside a clear-ring.
German-designer Isabell Kiefhabe spends several hours carefully creating miniature designs, which are encased in a see-through ring.
Isabell said: "I really like to place ordinary objects, that generally nobody pays attention to, into jewels. In addition, I add materials like gold-leaf, silver or pearls to make the pieces eye-catching."
In the pictures, tiny objects, such as an origami bird, a swimming scene and a mermaid can be seen encased inside a clear-ring.
The intricate work can take up to several hours to make one design.

Now THAT'S a deer in a headlight: Conservation cop saves animal after getting its head stuck in a light globe
A New York State conversation cop saved a deer that was literally caught in a head light.
Environmental Conservation Officer Jeff Hull was called to Centereach on Long Island to reports of a deer that had managed to get its head stuck inside a light globe from a lamppost on Tuesday morning.
The report said the animal had got its head stuck inside the globe and had been laying in the woods since the night before, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation said on its Facebook page.
Upon arrival, Officer spotted the deer about 20 yards from the road in a housing development.
Officer Hull approached the deer, but on his first attempt, ‘the wet globe slipped out of his hands.’
Unable to see, the deer then ran into a nearby downed tree and fell down, the department said.
But then, Officer Hull threw his coat over the globe and grabbed it with both arms ‘as the deer kicked and struggled to break free.’
At this point, the deer managed to slip its head out of the globe and ran off into the woods.
‘ECO Hull was left with a good story and a few bruises, but his integrity intact,’ the department added.

Golden eagle attempts to fly off with young deer during hunt, Liptovsky Hradok, Slovakia - 2011
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Milan Krasula/Solent News / Rex Features (1530341a)
Deer's Gripping Encounter With Golden Eagle
This plucky deer had an incredible escape when it dived under a fence to get away from a huge eagle.
The young doe had to run for its life after the golden eagle swooped in for the kill.
Photographer Milan Krasula snapped away as the chase played out in front of him.
The 30-year-old spent four days trying to get a great picture of the annual eagle hunt, where owners release their birds to hunt prey.
But instead of diving for a smaller animal, the eagle amazed watchers by dive-bombing the deer and trying to fly off with it.
He said: "You have to be very lucky to get a good shot, as you cannot predict where the prey will be hiding.
"I found an area that I thought it would be good for a photo and where some smaller animals might be hiding.
"I was waiting there around an hour or so, when all of a sudden there was a young little doe running out from the forest.
"One keeper then released his eagle, who was about 200 metres away from me.
"He did not see the little doe running and had actually released the eagle to get another animal.
"Of course, the eagle went for the doe instead of the other prey."
Milan, from Liptovsky Hradok, Slovakia, added: "Both the doe and the eagle were heading towards me.
"I was lucky to witness such an event of mother nature and I was lucky enough to have a camera with me and capture it.
"It happened so fast, by the time I checked the images on the back of the camera, both the doe and the eagle were gone.
"It was an unsuccessful attack by the eagle - I think the life of the doe was saved by a nearby fence.
"It wanted to jump over it but was so frightened and scared it only managed to slip underneath, giving the eagle no choice but to abandon the chase.
"The eagle flew back to its ke...

Deer Used as a Perch in Corbett National Park, Uttaranchal, India - 24 Aug 2010

The Chital deer with Myna birds landing on him, This deer doesn't bat an eyelid as a flock of birds swoop down to use him as a convenient perch. The spotted Chital deer remained unruffled while the ten Mynas birds flew down and landed on the stag's back, antlers and face. The amazing moment was captured by part time wildlife photographer Jagdeep Rajput while
visiting Corbett National Park's Dhikala meadows, in Uttaranchal, India.
Deer Used as a Perch by Hungry Mynah Birds
This deer doesn't bat an eyelid as a flock of birds swoops down to use him as a
lookout perch to scout grassland for insects.
The spotted Chital deer remained unruffled while the ten Mynas birds flew down
and landed on the stag's back, antlers and face.
The birds were desperate for a perch in the sparse meadows and found a willing
ally in the 3ft high deer.
A rain shower had just swept over the meadows and the birds were quick to use
the lookout as an ideal location to eye up insects driven out by the water.
The moment was captured by part time wildlife photographer Jagdeep Rajput while
visiting Corbett National Park's Dhikala meadows, in Uttaranchal, India.
Father of two Jagdeep, 49, has been taking photographs for about 20 years.
He said: "It was about 8am when I was just going to another part of the
national park, when I suddenly spotted the scene.
"It looked as if the Mynas birds were chasing the spotted deer.
"Actually they were in vast Dhikala meadows, which was perch-less, so they had
nowhere to sit and look for insects.
"So when they saw the deer, they all jumped on to him for a free ride.
Actually, Mynas visit these grasslands after the rains to feed on the insects.
"Of course, I was surprised to see this, as I had never heard or seen anything
like it before."

He may look fierce but Great Dane Rocky has proven that he has a soft centre after taking on the role of foster mum to this tiny deer.
The pair have become inseparable after tiny doe Cindy was brought into the Secret World Animal Rescue Centre in Somerset after she was found abandoned.
Nine stone Rocky, who belongs to one of the centre's employees, has proven to be a dear himself after forming a heart-warming bond with the little orphan.
He now keeps a careful eye on the youngster as she totters around the centre and is quick to rush to her side whenever he is needed.
