Jewish LGBTQ+ groups led by Stop The Hate and The Hineni Project host an alternative Pride celebration today after Keshet UK withdrew from the official Pride in London parade due to safety concerns and what they describe as repeated exclusion by Pride organisers.

Keshet had requested that Pride in London stewards receive free antisemitism awareness training ahead of the parade – a request made in light of rising anti-Jewish hate, heightened tensions, and security fears for Jewish marchers. Pride in London declined.

“It is deeply disappointing that Pride in London refuses to take even minimal steps to ensure Jewish LGBTQ+ people feel safe and included,” said a spokesperson for Stop The Hate. “Antisemitism is real, and it is rising. Pride should be a space where everyone is protected – but once again, Jewish people are being told we don’t matter.”

In response, Stop The Hate and The Hineni Project will hold a Jewish Pride Street Party to provide a safe, joyful, and visible space for LGBTQ+ Jews and allies to celebrate Pride on their own terms.

As Max from Stop The Hate said: “No matter what, we will celebrate Pride. We will dance, sing, eat, and stand proud together. Jews belong at Pride – and no one can take that away from us.”

Hen Mazzig, renowned Israeli LGBTQ+ activist and writer will address the crowd.

A meat substitute made from fungi and oats is about to be mass produced at a former Lego toy bricks factory.
Swedish company Millow says the premises will be able to produce hundreds of kilograms of the protein every day.
The product, named after the firm, is said to sear like beef, leave no after-taste and feels light on the stomach.
It can be barbecued, fried, baked or roasted.
The protein is binder free and is made from just oats and mycelium- the root system of a fungus.
The protein is made using a patented, dry-state fermentation process.
Each 100g portion is said to supply up to 27g of complete protein, fibre and natural vitamins and minerals.
The new 2,500-square-metre site in Gothenburg that was formerly a Lego production hall – aims to accelerate Millow’s innovation into industrial scale production.
Once fully outfitted later this year, each production line at the factory will deliver up to 500kg of protein per day.

A cheap alternative to military helicopters for battlefield deployment that looks like a shipping container, is being developed.

Lithuanian startup Airvolve plans to have the vertical take-off and landing aircraft ready for pre-orders by the end of this year.

The heavy-lift aerial vehicle is projected to be 10 times cheaper to operate than a conventional helicopter.

Its unique horizontal-axis propulsion system is claimed to enable it to carry a large-volume payload up to 200 kg with a 100 km radius.

The vehicle is designed for diverse applications, including automated cargo delivery, casualty evacuation, and search and rescue.

The company is still secretive about the rotor-based propulsion system which is said to be based on well proven technology.

It is said to draw on aerodynamic principles that are nearly a century old now made viable by advances in materials.

The founding team includes former employees of US space agency NASA and the engineering wing of low-cost airline Ryanair.

A plant-based smoked salmon alternative that looks and is said to taste just like the real thing could be on dinner tables within months.
It has been given new EU regulatory clearance and pilots are now underway in Europe and Israel while getting a $4 million USD investment boost.
The food is made using a sustainable highly nutritious algae called spirulina.
The algae is cultivated in greenhouses.Israel-based maker AlgaeCore Technologies has  launched a full-scale industrial manufacturing line for commercial output of the product which is branded Simplii Texture.
It has gained regulatory approval in Europe as a long standing ingredient in human food and completed a pilot phase.
The company is currently in the process of securing Food and Drug Administration  approval in the USA, Simplii Texture is currently in pilot trials with a number of food manufacturers in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, and Israel.
The  first spirulina smoked salmon creations under private label brands will hit the retail shelves within the next six months.
The company now intends to ramp up production to hundreds of tons a year, to meet an anticipated wave of demand for its novel smoked salmon substitute.
AlgaeCore’s innovation uses two intellectual property-protected technologies for the creation of its salmon substitute.
To make the alternative salmon the company uses a tech that separates the green chlorophyll component from the spirulina.
The chlorophyll is rich in antioxidants and micronutrients so can be reused as a supplement or natural food colorant.
The salmon replica’s pale pink hue comes from the remaining pigment naturally present in spirulina.
The second stage,  the details of which are top secret,  turns the remaining mass into a high-moisture texturised vegetable protein.
