“She’s One of Our Own” – Spurs Fans to Welcome Emily Damari home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, UK.
11th May 2025
Supporters and the wider community
come together to give Emily Damari, a 28-
year-old British Israeli Spurs fan, a hero’s welcome. Emily, a dual UK-Israeli citizen, was shot and kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Kfar Azza during the Hamas attacks of 7th October 2023. She survived 471 days in captivity in Gaza before being released earlier this year. During her ordeal, Spurs
fans adopted her as “One of Our Own”, showing their support by tying yellow ribbons, releasing balloons at matches, putting up posters of her around the stadium, and campaigning tirelessly for
her safe return.
Now finally home, Emily visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to show her gratitude to fans for
their endless and tireless campaigning. “I want to give a special thanks to all the Jews in the
diaspora, but especially to the UK Jewish community, who came out to support my mother and my family campaigning tirelessly to help secure my release,” she said.
This is Emily’s first public appearance in London since her return, the gathering included a special
welcome for Emily and a chance for supporters to come together in person to mark her safe
return.
While this gathering marks a moment of reunion and gratitude, Emily hopes it will also serve as
a reminder that 59 hostages remain in captivity in Gaza, including her best friends Ziv and Gali
Berman, who were kidnapped alongside her and are still being held in Gaza. She continues to
advocate for their safe return and urges the public not to forget those still waiting to come home.

diaspora, but especially to the UK Jewish community, who came out to support my mother and my family campaigning tirelessly to help secure my release,” she said.
This is Emily’s first public appearance in London since her return, the gathering included a special
welcome for Emily and a chance for supporters to come together in person to mark her safe
return.

This is Emily’s first public appearance in London since her return, the gathering included a special
welcome for Emily and a chance for supporters to come together in person to mark her safe
return.
