Princess Mathilde paid a work visit to the Pediatric Research institute of the Cliniques Universitaires Saint- Luc (Université Catholique de Louvain) in Woluwé-St-Lambert (Brussels). The Princess enquired about the pediatric research aiming for developing new treatments among others in the field of the many metabolic diseases of the liver. An innovating and single therapy was developed and is applied at the Saint-Luc clinics. Moreover, the Princess inquired about the development of the research programs on the immunological mechanisms responsible for allergy and the AIDS by the children.
