    'Britain's Got Talent' TV Programme - 24 May 2009
International singing sensation Susan Boyle has sailed through to the final of ITV talent contest 'Britain's Got Talent'. On Sunday more than 13.6 million viewers, half of night's television audience, tuned into to watch the 47-year-old Scot perform. Boyle, performing live in front of the nation for the first time, received a standing ovation from the audience and all three judges after her rendition of Memory from the musical, Cats. She became an overnight sensation six weeks ago after singing I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables during the rehearsal process. A clip of the audition has since been viewed around 100million times on YouTube and Boyle has also been featured on numerous American shows. According to bookmaker Ladbrokes, she is a 5/4 favourite to win the show. The winner of the show will get the chance to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show and be handed a GBP 100,000 cheque.

Fans of Cheryl Cole may already think she's a bit tasty but now the sexy Girls Aloud star has been immortalised in TOAST.

The singer joins the other judges on ITV1's X-Factor to be given the toast portrait treatment

Food artist Lennie Payne, from Rainham, Essex, used a blowtorch and a knife to put images of Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Cole on bread.

Mr Payne, who has had 10 years of experience working with toast as an art material, created the portraits for bread company Warburtons - who kick-started a new advertising campaign during a break in the popular talent show.

A spokesman for Warburtons said: "The X Factor is such a hit with millions of fans across the UK and the perfect platform to launch our new ad. We hope the judges are pleased with being preserved on toast forever."

Susan Boyle Dreams A Dream As Hollywood Listens
SUSAN BOYLE DREAMS A DREAM AS HOLLYWOOD LISTENS

Not only has Susan Boyle become a global internet sensation overnight, she has even caught the eye of Hollywood's finest.

The 47-year-old unemployed Scot from West Lothian appeared on last Saturday's 'Britain's Got Talent' and wowed both judges and audience with her rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'I Dreamed A Dream' from the musical 'Les Miserables'.

The video clip of her performance on the internet has so far been watched a staggering 6 million times and has brought her attention and interview requests from all over the world, including Australia and America.

Despite her unglamorous appearance, her singing has moved many to tears, touching even the cold hearts of judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, and immediately drawing comparisons to previous winner and current opera singing star Paul Potts.

In the United States her performance was featured on the NBC Today Show, squeezing tears out of host Kathie Lee Gifford and winning the adulation and fascination of A-list Hollywood couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, who were watched the clip on YouTube, prompting Kutcher to write on his Twitter page: "This just made my night", with wife Moore replying: "You saw it made me teary!"

Even though she has only made it through the first stage of auditions, reports suggest that Simon Cowell is lining up a record deal for her and cast recordings of the track have entered the official midweek singles chart and iTunes chart - Susan is already the bookie's favourite to win the show, offering odds of 5/2.
