SATAN ' S LITTLE BROTHER REVEALED AFTER NINE MONTHS DIGGING THAMES IS BOMBS ALLY

Bomb disposal men of the Royal Engineers digging for Satan ' s little brother, unexploded 500 pound German bomb at Silvertown, London, now have exposed the bomb to view after nine months digging. the bomb is stuck head first in sticky tar impregnated shingle in a tar distillers yard. It is expected to be ready for removal in about a fortnight. Work is possible only at low tide and for about four hours on either side of it, because at high tide water pours into the 30 feet deep shaft. As low tide gets later each day, the men now work until the small hours of the morning.
